KSH: exports increased more than imports in August
The value of exports, measured in euros, grew by 2.7 percent in August and imports by 1.2 percent. The export surplus on trade in goods was 60 million euros, 122 million euros better than a year ago, when it an exceptionally 62 million euros deficit occured – according to the second estimate by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Thursday.
The asset was 23 million euros more than it was forecasted in the first estimate, when the agency reported a 0.1 percentage point lower export growth and an equal increase in imports. (KSH)
