KSH: industrial production increased for the third consecutive month in August
Industrial production increased by 0.7 percent in August, compared to the previous month and working day adjusted exceeded the level of the previous year by 0.9 percent – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) confirmed its preliminary data, published on October 8, in its recently released report on Tuesday.
The seasonally and working day adjusted monthly increase in August was due to the 1.1 percent increase in export sales and due to the 2.3 percent decline of domestic sales. The working-day- adjusted annual growth was forced by exports that were increased by 5.1 percent, while domestic sales fell by 4.6 percent, compared to August 2012. (MTI)
