KSH: earnings rose by 5.9 percent in August
In August, average monthly earnings were 5.4 percent higher than than a year before. By calculating without the public employees the growth was 5.9 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) sannounced on Tuesday.
The growth was led by the public sector’s 8.1 percent increase in wages, while the regular premiums, bonuses and one-time benefits increased by almost three times since last August (grew by 199.8 percent), and this combination resulted in a 12.1 percent average rise in earnings, not counting the public workers.
