KSH: retail sales increased by 4.6 percent in August
In August, the volume of retail sales rose by 4.6 percent from a year earlier, according to the calendar adjusted and raw data, which is 0.1 percentage points lower than the first estimate – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The retail sales are increasing since July 2013, in Hungary which is 26 months consecutively.
After the 6.8 percent average increase of July, the annual growth rate slowed somewhat in all retail sub-sectors. The retail sales of food, beverages increased by 3.7 percent in August, the calendar effect adjusted volume of non-food retail sales rose by 4.5 percent, while the turnover of petrol stations rose by 7.2 percent.
