KSH: the volume of retail sales increased by 1.5 percent in August
The calendar-adjusted volume of retail sales increased by 1.5 percent in August, compared to the same period of last year – the Thursday released flash estimate of the Central Statistics Office (KSH) shows.
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the volume of retail sales in August exceeded the same period of 2012 by one percent.
In food retail trade, retail sales in August increased by 1.2 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
The non-food retail sector continues to expand: its volume increased by 1.3 percent in August, after the 0.9 percent growth of July. (MTI)
