KSH: inflation slowed further in April
The annual inflation rate slowed further in April to 1.7 percent, after the 2.2 percent of March. Compared to March, consumer prices rose by 0.3 percent compared with March – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday. The records show that inflation has not been lower in since 1974.
The price of household energy declined by 8.4 percent, the price of gas and electricity decreased by 10 percent, the price of remote heating declined by 11.7 percent, compared to a year ago, however the price of coal increased by 4.4 percent, and the price of firewood rose by 4.9 percent. (MTI)
