KSH: services and investments contributed the most to the GDP growth in the second quarter
Gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.9 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period of last year, up 1.1 percent from the previous quarter, according to the second estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Growth was most strongly supported by services and investment.
Services contributed by 2.2 percentage points to GDP, construction by 1.2 percentage points and industry by 0.9 percentage points. Within services, the contribution of trade, accommodation and hospitality was the most significant: 0.7 percentage points. The performance of agriculture had a neutral effect on GDP. (MTI)
