KSH: the trade surplus amounted to 6.4 billion euros last year
The euro value of exports increased by 4.2 percent last year, while teh imports in euros rose by 4.7 percent. The trade surplus became 6.4 billion euros, which is 153 million euros less than in 2013 – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The forint price level of foreign trade increased by 1.1 percent, compared to 2013. The import level has not changed singnificantly, rose by only 0.1 percent. Thus, the exchange rate improved by 1.0 percent. The forint was devalued by 4.0 percent against the euro and by 3.9 percent against the USD – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) added. (MTI)
