KSH: the Easter effect has increased retail sales
Retail sales increased by 8.5 percent in March. Calendary effect adjusted retail sales increased by 7.1 percent, compared to the same period of last year, mainly due to the Easter effect – according to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The raw data shows the highest growth since January 2015.
The Easter effect shows that in March, the turnover in food and mixed retail stores increased by 7.0 percent in annual comparision, after the previous two months’ 3.6 and 4.5 percent and last year’s 3.0 percent. (MTI)
