KSH: 35,000 less people worked in the third quarter than a year ago

The number of people working in the primary labor market did not change significantly, the number of people declaring themselves to be publicly employed decreased by 16 thousand, and the number of members of Hungarian households working abroad decreased by 21 thousand.

In September, the average monthly number of employees was 4,482,000, which is 32,000 less than in the previous month and 24,000 less than in September last year.

The activity rate of the 15-64 age group increased by 0.7 percentage points to 73.5 percent, the number of the economically active population present in the labor market increased by 6,000, the number of the inactive decreased by 55,000 to 1,665,000 in one year; due to the 49,000 decrease of the gae group.
