KSH: retail sales increased by 7.2 percent in May
According to the raw data, the volume of retail stores’ turnover was 7.2 percent higher, while calendar effect adjusted was 7.8 percent higher, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to a first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), published on Tuesday.
In the food and mixed retail stores, the calendar effect adjusted volume of sales was 5.8 percent higher, in non-food retail stores 9.7 percent higher, in fuel retail sales 8.1 percent higher.
In January-May, the volume of turnover, according to the calendar effect adjusted data, was 7.1 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year. (MTI)
