KSH: Retail sales increased by 6.8 percent in May
According to the raw data, retail sales in May rose 6.8 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. Calendar effect adjusted the increase was 5.7 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told MTI on Tuesday.
In January-May, the trade volume was 5.1 percent higher, compared to the same period of last year, according to the calendar effect adjusted data. The raw data shows a slightly different, 5.2 percent increase in five months.
The Central Statistical Office (KSH) will announce the revised details of its second estimate on 25 July. (MTI)
