KSH: Retail sales increased by 6 percent
The volume of retail sales turnover grew by 6.0 percent according to the raw data. Calendar effect adjusted, the increase was 5.4 percent in May compared to the same period last year, according to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In mixed food and food retail stores, sales volumes increased by 2.6 percent in non-food retail stores by 9.8 percent and in fuel retailing by 4.3 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Detailed information on May’s retail trade will be disclosed on July 24 by KSH on the basis of its second estimate. (MTI)
