KSH: retail sales increased by 5.7 percent
According to both raw and calendar-adjusted data, the volume of retail sales increased by 5.7 percent in October compared to a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday. The growth rate is slightly different from 5.8 percent in September.
In the food and food-type mixed stores, the calendar-adjusted sales volume increased by 3.4 percent in one year, in non-food retail trade by 6.3 percent and in fuel retail trade by 11.5 percent due to the low base last October. Turnover in food and fuel accelerated further compared to August, while demand for non-food products rose more moderately. (MTI)
