KSH: gross domestic product increased by 4.9 percent in 2019
Last year, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 4.9 percent year-on-year, according to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Friday.
Annual GDP growth was 4.3 percent in 2017 and 5.1 percent in 2018.
Economic growth in the fourth quarter of last year was 4.5 percent, according to raw GDP data. Seasonally adjusted for calendar effects and other one-off effects, the fourth-quarter growth reported by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, was 4.6 percent. Compared to Q3, growth was 1.0 percent, just below the 1.1 percent in Q2 and Q3. (MTI)
