KSH: retail sales increased by 4.5 percent in 2016
The volume of retail sales increased by 4.5 percent in 2016 after the 5.8 percent increase of last year, while the calendar-adjusted figures indicate a 4.6 percent increase – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its second estimate on Thursday (KSH).
In December, the volume of retail turnover increased by 2.8 percent, according to the raw data, while calendar effect adjusted increased by 3.3 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year.
The calendar-adjusted volume of sales in food retail shops increased by 3.2 and in non-food retail by 3.0 percent, in fuel retail by 4.3 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year in December. (MTI)
