KSH prices increased by 3.8 percent in October
In October, consumer prices were on average 3.8 percent higher than the previous year’s 3.6 percent increase. Prices on average increased by 0.5 percent, compared to September – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted core inflation, as in the previous month, rose again by 0.2 percentage points to 2.6 percent.
Mináry Borbála, head of department at the Department of Economics, explained that the price of vehicle fuels and tobacco prices has increased significantly in the past year. The increase in the excise duty on tobacco products also appeared in the October data, he added. (MTI)
