KSH: prices grew by 3.4 percent in August
In August, consumer prices were 3.4 percent higher on average than a year before. Compared to July, consumer prices increased by 0.1 percent – according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The August data is the same as in July. Higher price increase was last seen in January 2013, when the rate of inflation was 3.7 percent.
In the past year, similarly to previous months, the price of vehicle fuels and tobacco prices increased significantly by 16.3 percent for fuel and by 6.2 percent more for tobacco products in August than a year ago – said Mináry Borbála Head of Department of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told.
