KSH: the Hungarian economy expanded in the first quarter
According to raw data, Hungary’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.2 percent according to the raw data, while the seasonal and calendar-effect adjusted balanced data shows a 2.0 percent increase in the first quarter, compared to the same period of the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
The state of emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic adversely affected production in most sectors of the economy, but services and industry continued to drive growth in the first quarter as a whole – the KSH added. (MTI)
