KSH: per capita GDP in purchasing power parity was 22 thousand euros in 2020
Hungary’s gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices was 48,000 billion HUF in 2020, short of 11.5 billion HUF, and decreased by 4.7 percent at constant prices, compared to the previous year. The amount of gross domestic product per capita was 4.922 million HUF, calculated at purchasing power parity, it was EUR 22,000,216 – according to the revised, but still preliminary data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) revised in September.

The Hungarian economy generated 48,000 billion HUF last year
As a result of the revision, GDP at current prices increased by 245 billion HUF, while the decline, compared to the previous year decreased by 0.3 percentage points to 4.7 percent. According to preliminary national accounts data, the general government deficit calculated according to the ESA 2010 EU methodology was 3.823 trillion HUF, or 8.0 percent of GDP, compared to 8.1 percent previously reported.
