KSH: Agricultural output in 2024 fell by 8.0 percent compared to the previous year
The total output of agriculture in 2024 amounted to over 4.0 thousand billion forints, falling by 8.0 percent compared to the previous year. The decrease was caused by a combined contraction of the total production volume by 4.4 percent and the price level by 3.8 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday, based on its first estimate. The volume of crop production was 11 percent lower, that of livestock production by 4.9 percent higher. The decrease in production affected almost all product groups, except potatoes, live animals and animal products.
