KSH: retail sales fell by two percent in March
In March, according to raw data, retail sales decreased by 1.5 percent and calendar effects by 2.0 percent compared to the same period last year. Compared to the previous month, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted turnover increased by 0.8 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
Retail in March declined by 2.0 percent in grocery and food-type mixed stores and by 5.9 percent in non-food retail. After a year, fuel sales started to grow again, with calendar-adjusted sales up 2.1 percent. (MTI)
