KSH: the employment rate of the 15-64 age group improved to 67.6 percent in the first half of the year
The employment rate of the 15-64 age group improved in the first half of this year, up by 1.9 percentage points reaching 67.6 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year – according to the Statistical Mirror publication of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The rate has risen by more than 13 percentage points, compared to the 54.5 percent employment rate measured in the first six months of 2010.
According to the Labor Force Survey, in the January-June 2017 period, the number of people employed reached 4 million 394 thousand, which was 91,000 more than one year before. (MTI)
