KSH: the number of employees increased by 130 thousand
In the three months between December 2016 and February 2017, the average number of employees was 4 million 372 thousand, 130 thousand more than the year before. The employment rate for the 15-64 age group improved by 2.4 percentage points to 67.1 percent in a year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
In the 3-month period ended in late February – due to the usual seasonal effects – the number of employed in the 15-74-year-old category was 43 thousand less than the peak value of September-November last year, when the employment rate of 15-64 year-olds was 67.5 percent.
