SPAR: collaboration in social media
SPAR is strengthening the importance of collaboration and leading by example in the epidemiological situation with an unusual social media campaign. The coronavirus poses the greatest threat to the elderly, so SPAR encourages the younger generation to ask their grandparents or close seniors before shopping what they need and shop for them, by following basic hygiene standards. Since its establishment as a family business, SPAR Magyarország has been focusing on community building and its diverse and continuous assistance.
SPAR has asked influencers with a significant number of followers, who are considered role models by young people, to show through their own examples who and how they help in everyday life during the pandemic. The main message of the campaign is, of course, the same as the central messages of the government, but using a more personal tone: the messages “Take Care of Each Other”, “Stay Home” and “Help Grandma” also strengthen communication in the form of a hashtag.
