Common brand strategy for the downtown shops
The local government of the 5th district develops a common brand strategy in order to boost the sales of the downtown businesses.
Puskás András (Fidesz-KDNP), the district's deputy mayor told at a press conference on Wednesday, that the disadvantages compared to the shopping centers have became clear for the beginning of the 2000s. The malls were allowed too close to the city center, at the expense of the old commercial center. They want to reverse this trend ande will develop a shopping district that will be managed like shopping malls. The local government founded a company last week for the job, and in the first two years will spend 200-200 million HUF for the branding strategy. (MTI)
