Hungary is in the middle field in terms of late payments
Among the EU Member States Hungary is in the middle in terms of late payments. Four percent of the annual total business turnover should be written off, due to late or non -payments – the leader of the Hungarian Representation of the European Commission presented the datas at a forum on Tuesday in Budapest.
Szűcs Tamás leader of the Hungarian Representation of the European Commission stressed that the delay in payment causes serious problems throughout Europe. In 2013 the value of the total late payments in the 28 member states of the EU reaches 340 billion euros. This is more than twice of the EU 's annual budget. Because of the inability to pay, nearly half a million jobs have been lost in Europe, nearly sixty percent of the firms have liquidity problems – he added. (MTI)
