Medium-sized companies are looking for partners in Singapore, too
The Hungarian embassy has been playing an important role in fostering and maintaining bilateral relationship
between Hungary and Singapore. It has created many business opportunities for companies in both countries
by helping to ensure the initial link. Events had been held to allow cultural and economic exchange. Business
links and opportunities were also created through these events.
On 22 October 2013, Hungarian Embassy will be holding a Business Meeting at Hilton Singapore. With the Free
Trade Agreement being signed by European Union and Singapore, it opens up more windows of opportunities
for future business ventures. Hungarian Embassy would like to invite Hungarian companies to present and
showcase their products and technologies. Companies from different business sectors will then be matched
with Singaporean companies with relevant business roles. This will help create new business relationships.
This will then facilitate the growth of economy in both countries. This event will provide a good platform for
Hungarian companies to learn more about the local market.
Singapore being a global business hub is strategically located geographically. It acts as a gateway towards the
ASEAN market. Many global companies have their headquarters located in Singapore due to its good infrastructure
and political stability. Due to this advantages, Singapore experience one the highest GDP growth
among ASEAN nations. There is also a fast growing foreign investment market due to government incentives.
With the forum being held in Singapore, Hungarian companies will be able to connect with local and regional
companies. Hungarian Embassy will provide a platform through this event for companies from both countries
to interact and foster relationships. More business opportunities will be created. Companies will have the
chance to explore and learn about a new market.
