The Central and Eastern European households were characterized by steady growth of income for many years. The recent decline in consumer confidence and purchasing habits can be observed, according to UniCredit Group CEE Banking Division.
In the current situation, the growth rate of the household borrowings are expected to improve slowly. The credit quality remains a major challenge.
The households will have difficulties in 2010 also, and this will lasts until the recovery of the economy – reports Világgazdaság Online.
