French consumer confidence rose to a nearly three years peak
The French consumer confidence has increased to a nearly three years peak in February – according to the data of the French statistical office (INSEE).
The index increased in February to 92 points, from the 90 points of January. This is better than the 91 points, previously forecasted by the analysts, but the value is still far below the long-term average of 100 points.
The opinion of households also improved by 2 points about their past and future financial conditions, and the proportion of those who prepare to save for a possible bad future decreased as well. (MTI).
