Nearly half a billion aluminum cans are not recycled
In Hungary, 800-900 million aluminum cans of beer and soft drinks are marketed every year, but only about half of this amount 450 million cans are recycled – tozsdeforum.hu wrote.
This is a huge waste both environmentally and economically, because almost 100 percent of the aluminum cans can be recycled without any deterioration in quality. The “Dobd be magad” environmental awareness-raising program draws the attention of the youngsters and young adults to the fact that with the selective recollection of aluminum cans, they can do a lot for their environment.
