Inflation in Austria set a nearly half a century record
According to the first estimate published by the Austrian Statistical Office on Friday, the highest inflation in Austria in 47 years occured in July.
According to preliminary data, the annual inflation rate in Austria rose to 9.2 percent in July from 8.7 percent of the previous month.
In July 2022, consumer prices rose at the fastest pace since March 1975, which can be attributed to the increase in household energy and fuel costs, as well as food and catering industry prices. (MTI)
