Household consumption increased by nearly 9 percent last year
The monthly expenditure of households per capita grew by 8.9 percent in 2015 and was an average of 74 608 HUF.
The highest proportion of the household expenditure (26.7 percent an average of 19 885 HUF) per person per month was spent on food and non-alcoholic beverages. 28.2 percent of food expenditure was spent on meat and meat products, 15.7 percent on milk, milk products and cheese and 10.4 percent on vegetables and potatoes, while 6.6 percent on fruits – the most recent summary report of the Central Statistical Office reveals (KSH).
