The Russian embargo caused nearly 300 billion HUF export losses
The Hungarian exports to Russia have reduced drastically since the relations became bad between the EU and Moscow. The sanctions and the Russian food import restrictions have caused many billions HUF losses to Hungary’s foreign trade – the Magyar Nemzet Online wrote.
While in 2013, in the last full year before the introduction of the ban, direct Hungarian exports to Russia were around 750 billion HUF, the same figure in 2015 was only 477 billion – according to the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). (Ruzsbaczky Zoltán, mno.hu)
