(HU) Közel 1400 tonna hízott libamájat exportálunk
The Hungarian firms export nearly 1400 tonnes of foie gras this year, mainly to France and Belgium, representing approximately 9 billion HUF revenue – Magyar Hírlap Online wrote.
Twenty years ago, Hungary exported 1800 tons of foie gras to Western Europe, while last year1200 tons. This year the export is expected to be nearly 1400 tons – Látits Miklós, secretary of the Duck and Goose Association told Magyar Hírlap. Ninety percent of the exports will be shipped to France and Belgium, but Spain, Italy and Switzerland are also among the targeted shipping destinations. The turnover is 8-9 billion HUF.
