It will also be mandatory to offer Magyar Posta’s logistics service to webshops
According to the decree published in the Magyar Közlöny, the government plans to require webshops to offer the logistics service of Magyar Posta to their customers. The government has not yet published the details of the regulation, so market participants are also uncertain about what changes the regulation will bring in practice.
The decree is entitled “Amendment of Government Decree 335/2012 (XII. 4) on the provision of postal services and the detailed rules of the postal service related to official documents, as well as the general contractual conditions of postal service providers and items excluded from the postal service or conditionally deliverable” wears The second paragraph of the decree applies to businesses operating in e-commerce.
Pursuant to the decree, webshops must offer Magyar Posta Logistics as an optional delivery partner for the delivery of goods sold based on contracts concluded between absentees. The regulation is expected to enter into force at the end of March.
