TESCO renews IT in its Czech and Slovakian operations
Tesco has implemented its standardised ‘Operating Model’ set of software in its Czech and Slovakian operations.
The software, which comprises Oracle
Retail's merchandise management system and POS software from Retalix,
will go live on 1 January in both countries. It will replace
Aldata-based merchandise management systems that Tesco used to deploy
in the CEE. Tesco had to complete the implementation of the new POS
solution quickly because of the introduction of the euro in Slovakia
on 1 January 2009. Tesco is developing and customising its standard
software ‘Operating Model’ in India through Tesco’s
3,000-strong Hindustan Service Centre (HBC) in Bangalore.
