Coop Sweden joins forces with Volta Greentech for eco-friendly milk
Coop Sweden has announced that it has started cooperating with Volta Greentech to test the effectiveness of a feed additive that reduces methane emissions from cows. The Sweden-based start-up says that its algae feed supplement has the potential to reduce methane emission from cows by 60-90 percent, without affecting the quality of milk. The project involves testing the feed on 24 milk cows and ends in November 2020.
