The government encourages the consumption of honey
The government would like to increase the average annual honey consumption of 70 dekagrammes to 1 kilogramme per person within 2-3 years – Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said in Kaposvár.
Nagy István, told journalists at the 19th Transdanubian Regional Apiary Meeting that consumption in this sector increased from 50 to 70 dekagrammes in the last period, thanks to the efforts, but is still far below the Western European 2.5-2 7-kilogrammes average. (MTI)
