The government is committed to the development of the horticultural sector
The agricultural government attaches great importance to the development of the horticultural sector, which is the most labor-intensive area in agriculture, which provides the livelihood of about 300-350 thousand families – Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State said on Saturday at a professional event in Tuzsér – according to the communication of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the statement, the Minister of State recalled that the goal of the ministry’s sectoral strategy for fruit and vegetables is that the industry should produce 1 million tonnes more in addition to the current 2.5 million tonnes. As a result of the developments, the yield of vegetable production can be increased by 35, and fruit production can be increased by 70 percent. (MTI)
