The second wave of COVID-19 can easily cause burnout
With the second wave of the pandemic, not only will the number of illnesses increase, but the mental state of office workers may also worsen. Because of the uncertainty, fear and end-of-year exhaustion caused by the virus, the symptoms of burnout may become more frequent. Employers and employees should therefore pay attention to even the smallest signs in order to avoid the negative spiral in time – K&H draws attention.
Although telecommuting offers more flexibility and a better work-life balance, workers may be exhausted by more than six months of insecurity and fear of infection during the second wave. Due to year-end fatigue, restrictions on leisure activities and recreation, and early darkening, their effectiveness can be significantly reduced.
