Tears in the Water benefit concert in September, charity campaign continues
Due to the extreme heat, the organizers postponed the “Tears in the Water” Charity Concert until early autumn. However, the donation campaign related to the event will continue, as part of which Szerencsejáték Zrt. is providing an immediate 100 million forints in support of the Ecumenical Relief Organization to help the flood victims in Székelyföld.
The organizers decided to postpone the concert due to the nearly 40-degree heat expected on Sunday. Before making the decision, they weighed the risks associated with holding it and postponing it, also considering that the musical program, which included about 30 performers, would have lasted at least 8 hours, and they also took into account that the authorities do not recommend holding mass events in such heat.
The “Tears in the Water” Charity Concert – according to the organizers’ plans – is expected to take place in September. Those affected can decide to use the support tickets purchased so far at a later date or request a refund of the ticket price. Ticket seller Eventim will send information about this in detail.
The rains at the end of May caused significant damage in Székelyföld, and many people lost their property and livelihood due to the natural disaster. For this reason, the Ismerős Arcok band announced a charity concert in early June to help the flood victims, which was joined by numerous musicians and bands.
With the help of the donations received so far, the restoration work has already begun. The donation campaign to help the people of Székelyföld continues. In view of the situation, Szerencsejáték Zrt. is providing immediate support of 100 million forints.
