The Humus Association is looking for compost-friendly companies
The Humus Association calls on small and medium-sized businesses to join the “Compost Friendly Business” initiative on October 10, 2024! Any business operating in Hungary can become a Compost-Friendly Business with the support of the campaign.
Since 2011, the Composting Festival has been drawing attention to the natural utilization of organic waste (e.g. kitchen green waste). Composting is key to preserving soil fertility and sustainable waste management, the Humus Association points out.
This is how you can join the initiative of the Humus Association
As part of the campaign, the Humus Association encourages businesses to introduce community composting in their workplace communities and pledge their commitment to sustainability by donating 10% of their profits on the day to the Humus Association. The association uses the donations to support community composting programs and attitude-forming activities in kindergartens and schools.
Businesses that implement composting practices or support the program with a donation will be eligible to use the “Compost Friendly Business” logo in 2024. A free guide to community composting is also available as part of the program, which can be downloaded from the website of the Humus Association: humusz.hu/kiadvanyok
