According to a recent survey, 56% of British food manufacturers and brand owners plan to invest in the development or expansion of plant-based products this year.

The survey of 102 industry players in the UK was commissioned by Atura Proteins, a manufacturer of protein-based ingredients derived from legumes. Paul Donegan, Atura’s commercial development and marketing manager has told: the plant-based segment is an absolute priority for food industry players seeking to meet the dietary needs of vegetarian, flexitarian and vegan consumers.
