Advent calendar receives serious criticism
In his latest TikTok video, vlogger Product Critic has thoroughly criticized the chocolates in IKEA’s Christmas calendar. The video, which went viral in no time, has thoroughly shaken up the online community’s opinion of IKEA’s holiday offerings.
“To be honest, the taste of IKEA’s calendar sweets has been a huge disappointment,” says the vlogger. In his opinion, these chocolates are not only of poor quality, but also significantly fall short of the general standard that IKEA stands for. According to the critics, the sweets are overly sweet, supposedly have a “greasy” taste, and many people feel like they have expired. In addition, the texture and flavors are far below expectations, especially in the case of products such as marzipan chocolates.
The need for immediate action
In his video, the vlogger suggested that the product should be offered at a significant price reduction or completely withdrawn from sale. According to him, these chocolates provide such an unpleasant gastronomic experience that they could also harm IKEA’s reputation.
“Many people don’t buy the IKEA calendar for the chocolates,” the vlogger notes, referring to the fact that one of the main attractions of the product is the possibility of winning up to 250,000 forints hidden in the calendar. However, he believes this is no excuse for the quality of the sweets to be so poor.
Customer feedback
The criticism did not go unnoticed. Several customers indicated that they had similar experiences. Some mentioned an expired warranty effect, while others criticized the texture and taste of the chocolates. Based on the comments, a significant number of customers were also disappointed with the product, and several shared the vlogger’s opinion about the need to reduce the price or withdraw it from circulation.
