Beiersdorf’s Berlin factory to become climate-neutral by 2022
Berlin-based Beiersdorf Manufacturing GmbH is to switch to biomethane from 2022 and this – together with the use of green electricity – will reduce the location’s CO2 footprint by 99 percent if compared with 2018. The move forms part of the group’s plan to operate all production facilities worldwide in a climate-neutral fashion by 2030. Plus direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by 30 percent until 2025.
