KKM: the German farmers’ losses exceed one billion euros due to the Russian import ban
As a result of the Russian embargo, the Bavarian farmers’ losses amounted to 200 million euros, while the German farmers lost more than 1 billion euros on national level since Russia introduced import ban on the products from most European countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs (KKM).
According to the announcement, Bavaria has the most powerful Russian relations among the German provinces both in the economic, cultural and scientific fields. Therefore, the most serious economic damage was caused in Bavaria. In order to minimize losses, the Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer wants to keep up dialogue with Russia. He traveled to Russia twice last year and this year, where he was negotiating with President Vladimir Putin. (MTI)
