Dutch PLUS begins transition to organic potatoes
The Dutch retail chain PLUS is gradually switching to selling organic potatoes only. The chain offers unprocessed organically grown potatoes in one-kilogram bags at the same price as regular potatoes. With this step PLUS has agreed to pay the difference directly to farmers. Potatoes offered by the retailer form part of its Laagblijvers range, which consists of essential products at a permanently low price.
