The Hungarian melon has a high quality

The Hungarian melon has a high quality, the amount is sufficient, but the purchase price is low – was said at the Napközben show of the Kossuth Radio.

This year about 245 tonnes of watermelons will be harvested. 40 to 50 percent of this volume will be sold abroad, mainly in Germany, the Czech Republic and in Poland.

Kaller József, vice president of the Hungarian National Watermelon Growers Association stated that the yield has high quality and the quantity is suuficient as well.The vice president also told that the purchase price is between 32 to 40 HUF, while the cost price is 32-35 HUF.
