Retail sales momentum may remain
Experts told MTI that retail sales may grow vigorously further.
The Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday that retail sales rose by 4.2 percent in March, according to the calendar effects adjusted data, and based on the raw data by 5.5 percent.
Suppan Gergely, analyst of the the Savings Bank explained that the growth in retail sales may remain high permanently, due to the significant increase in real wages and due to the increase in employment, so an annual average of 4.2 percent growth is expected, after last year’s 5.8 percent expansion.
